| The Mine Falls Generating Station is a 3.0MW hydroelectric
generating station located on the Nashua River near the City of
Nashua, New Hampshire. The site is comprised of two turbine-generators
housed in a new concrete powerhouse located at the site of a historic
concrete dam. The site was commissioned in 1986.
A power purchase agreement dated March 25, 1984 was entered into
between Seaward Development-Mine Falls Inc. and PSNH. The agreement
was amended on November 14, 1985 and was assigned to the Mine Falls
Partnership on December 10, 1985. The agreement expires on December
31, 2005.Under the amended terms, PSNH continues to purchase all
electrical energy from the facility at a fixed rate over the remainder
of the term.
